Summers here!

I don’t want to speak too soon, but now having had at least 3 days of glorious sunshine, could this finally be the start of our summer here in the UK?! My girls have been wearing summer dresses for the last few days. We’ve started each day with pedal pusher leggings underneath, which is a great way of keeping off the morning chill, yet easy enough to take off when the day warms up.  One of the brands I sell, Kitekids design pedal pusher leggings every summer.  Raspberry Red has stocked them for the last 3 years as they are so popular, practical yet pretty! Another popular one for Raspberry Red is South African Keedo, this is the third season of stocking their summer dresses. Made from beautiful thin floaty cotton. Their dresses are so light and easy for girls to wear in warm weather. There are lots of other gorgeous summer dresses on the Raspberry Red website www.raspberryred.co.uk from Little Duckling, myCinnamonGirl, Keedo, Kitekids and Phister & Philina. Some of them are pictured in the slideshow above.

May Day Fair

Yesterday I had a stall at our local May Day Fair and decided to take along only Summer Kid’s clothes in the hope that we would get a bit of sunshine! Wishful thinking, I lost count of how many comments I had from people asking if we are going to get a summer! May Fair’s can be such lovely events, ever since I was a child I have always been to a May day Fair. For me it’s part of the May bank holiday weekend! When the sun is shining, it can be such a joyous occasion, watching the May Pole Dancing, looking round all the stalls, doing crafty bits with the kids and then just sitting on the grass with friends in the sun relaxing. In fact I love any outdoor fetes or fair, I’m the first to stick my hand up if anyone suggests going to one! I’ve done quite a few of them now with Raspberry Red and they have been some of the most pleasant events I’ve been to! I feel a bit sad today that our May day Fair didn’t turn out to be one of those occasions yesterday. I will definately be taking a gazebo to next weekends fair!
